Vaniman’s microabrasive sandblasters come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but one thing is true for all of them: they require compressed air to use. If you need a sandblaster but don’t yet have an air compressor to power it, we have good news: Vaniman now offers two air compressor kits designed and tested to work seamlessly with our full line of industrial microabrasive blasters.
Each kit comes with 12 feet length of 1/4″ OD blue tubing and a quarter-inch connection adapter for direct hookup to the blaster. Both are also available with an optional air dryer filter — which, depending on your work environment, may be necessary, as moisture is the number one cause of media blockage in a sandblasting system.

Two Different Compressors to Choose From:
2.5 Gallon JC10PLUS Air Compressor (PN 98213)
The smaller of the two options is a 2.5-gallon, oil-free, direct drive compressor with 1 horsepower and 2.4 CFM. It weighs 45 lbs and is compact enough to set up comfortably on a workbench or tuck under a table.
Because it’s oil-free, there’s no risk of oil making its way into your air supply, which matters when you’re working with specimens where contamination could affect results.
It gets up to 125 PSI in about 55 seconds, and it’s designed for quiet operation and long service life. This is a solid choice for field professionals and smaller-scale work where portability and a lighter footprint are high-priority.
4.2 Gallon VT20ST Air Compressor Kit (PN 98214)
For heavier or higher-volume use, the 4.2-gallon compressor steps things up with a 2 hp motor and 4.3 CFM. At 62 lbs, it’s definitely heavier, but it’s still a portable, standalone unit.
This one uses splash lubrication, a time-tested method in which oil inside the crankcase is distributed across moving parts as the compressor runs. It doesn’t require an external oiling system, and it’s built for fast, reliable performance over the long haul.
If you’re running longer blasting sessions or working with a higher-demand sandblaster, this is the compressor to reach for.
