Vaniman’s range of accessories covers a wide variety of individual workstation types, and the SplashVac in particular is popular for its simple solution to dust.
The SplashVac is a durable, versatile splash guard with a built-in dust fan and replaceable filter. It comes with a bright LED light for excellent visibility, an adjustable plexiglass shield, and a removable debris tray for easy cleanup. But despite its list of impressive features, what people like most is how simple this unit is. Set it up, plug it in, flip the switch, and you’re off and running!
If you have a countertop lathe (with up to a six inch wheel) but not a dust collector, or if you use a handpiece for grinding or etching, this accessory is a game changer.
So — what do you really get when you order a SplashVac? We’ve got a video that takes you through getting it out of the box and setting it up:

Hi, Bil from Vaniman here. Today we’re going to be looking at the Vaniman SplashVac, a versatile all-in-one portable dust collection station accessory with a built-in fan and replaceable filter system.
00:00:13:22 – 00:00:18:22
It fits a six inch wheel and is ideal for light dust collection in labs and industrial settings.
00:00:18:22 – 00:00:21:00
Let’s take a look at what’s inside the box.
00:01:00:08 – 00:01:07:13
When you get it out of the box, there’s a little bit of assembly required.
00:01:07:15 – 00:01:13:00
Use the included Allen wrench to screw the debris shield on.
00:01:19:01 – 00:01:23:16
You’ll notice the debris shield is flexible and can be moved up or down.
00:01:23:19 – 00:01:27:16
Plug the power supply into the port at the bottom of the dust fan casing,
00:01:27:21 – 00:01:34:15
plug it into the wall, and flip the switch to turn it on.
00:01:35:12 – 00:01:41:01
You can visibly inspect your filter from time to time to see if it needs replacing. It’s very easy to do.
00:01:41:03 – 00:01:46:16
As a general rule of thumb, we recommend replacing it every three months, but you might need to replace it sooner than that if you run this unit at high volume.
00:01:53:07 – 00:02:01:18
